Day 1-Havana

Wednesday November 7th 2018

Welcome to Cuba!

Arrive in Havana via Jose Marti Airport. There the group will be met up by our expert bi-lingual guide and your tour officially begins! Enjoy a panoramic bus tour of Havana, which will include Old and Modern Havana as well as Vedado. Following a Stop at Plaza De La Revolucion. After, all will Check-In at Hotel Telegrapho. Later that evening, Dinner will be at Paladar San Cristobal.

Optional: Yellow Submarine Night Club( “The Beatles” Themed Night Club)

Day 2-Havana

Thursday November 8th 2018

This morning the group will partake in a Walking tour of Old Havana with  a focus on new businesses related to food and bars. The group will be able to sample street foods and visit the Museum of Chocolate where you can watch chocolates being made at the back of the premises while you sip a cup of hot chocolate or have it hot, cold, white, dark, rich or smooth – the stuff is divine, whichever way you choose. Afterwards, a trip to “Habana 61” for lunch. Located in one of the fastest developing areas of Old Havana, Habana 61’s menu features Cuban classics with a fresh twist. After Lunch, a visit to  the **School of Culinary Arts, to meet with staff and students. The group will then head to Hotel Nacional for Cocktails. The eclectic art deco–neoclassical Hotel Nacional is a national monument and one of Havana’s architectural emblems. Dinner is followed at VIP Habana, with a large central bar on the restaurant floor, drink shelves backlit with neon strip-lights, and old black-and-white movies showing (silently) on a massive cinema screen.

 

 

 

Day 3- Havana

Friday November 9th 2018

Today the group will visit “Agromercado”-the free farmers market, With fresh organic products that include fruits, vegetables and meat, this agromercado is best known among locals for being one of the best stocked open-air vegetable markets in the city. Next stop, a visit to “Finca Marta” with Lunch. Finca Marta is project dedicated to the memory of Marta Monzote Fernández who dedicated part of her life to agroecology in Cuba. After lunch, the group will visit Fuster’s Art Studio. It is like taking a walk inside a Disneyland of art. The entire community surrounding José Fuster’s studio and home is decorated in Fuster’s unique style of mixing painting and ceramic and it is utterly surreal. Following Fuster’s, the group will head down towards Paladar Mediteraneo where dinner will be served. The Mediteraneo serves primarily Italian food with a few nods to Spain in a pleasant Vedado residence.

 

OPTIONAL VISIT to the Factoria de Arte Cubana , where Cubans go to see and be seen. It is a converted warehouse that has concert and art spaces, bars, restaurants and snack stands. Entrance is only $2.

Day 4-Havana-Cojimar

Saturday November 10th 2018

Today, the group will head to Ajiaco Restaurant for a Cooking and Cocktail Class followed by a tour of the restaurant then lunch will be served. Next stop is Cojimar, a town east of Havana.It was an inspiration for Ernest Hemingway’s, The Old Man and the Sea. The group will also make a visit to Finca Vigia, which was the home of Earnest Hemingway and where he kept his boat. After visiting Hemingway’s home, the group will depart towards Paladar Waoo where dinner shall be served, with an upscale setting featuring an impressive wooden wraparound bar, award-winning cocktails and a varied menu.

EVENING OPTIONS-Visit the Buena Vista Social Club for some Cuban traditional Music or hop into a Jazz Club. Enjoy an Evening walk to see Havana at night

Day 5- Havana-Viñales

Sunday November 11th 2018

Today will begin with a Day Trip to Viñales, one of the country’s most beautiful towns, best known for its limestone hills and tobacco farms. Come see the beautiful valley and scenery. Towards the afternoon, the group will head to Finca Agroecologica, for a tour and Lunch. Lunch is served family-style on the wrap-around porch of the farm house. After Lunch, the group will visit the Tobacco Farm. See how they grow and tend to the crops, before they store and dry them. Towards the early evening, the group will return to Havana, where Dinner will be served at Paladar Atelier, a Spanish-style mansion in Vedado, with two generous rooftop terraces packed with decadent cushions, and colonial furniture in the main indoor lounge provide the retro backdrop of the Atelier.

 

 

Day 6-Havana

Monday November 12th 2018

Today begins with a visit to **Empresa Apicola Cubana, see how Honey is made thru beekeeping. Afterwards the group will head to the Fine Arts Museum. The museum features and art collection divided into eight curatorial sections. It includes works from France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Great Britain, Asia, the United States, Flanders, Latin America and Germany. Lunch will follow at a Local Paladar. After Lunch, please enjoy some free time for personal interests and shopping. Towards the evening, the group will enjoy a scenic Classic car ride towards Cafe del Oriente, where Dinner will be served. Café del Oriente is a Gourmet Restaurant that prides itself on being one of the most luxurious spots in Havana.

 

 

 

Day 7-Havana

Tuesday November 13th 2018

All great things must come to an end, and today we pack our bags and head on home! After breakfast, transfer to the Jose Marti airport to check-in to the flight back home.
